Training Courses - Winter 2017/18

Various training courses are running over the winter months for club volunteers and players.  Details of, or links to, these courses are shown below. 

Please contact the club on info@wctcc.org.uk if you would like to undertake some training on behalf of the club.  In most cases, if a course needs to be paid for and you are intending to use the qualification within the club, we will reimburse the cost upon the successful completion of the course.

You may wish, having been to a session, to test your knowledge of the new Laws this can be undertaken by registering on the NEW LAWS & MCC E-LEARNING RESOURCE

For scorers the ECB ACO has issued a document outlining changes to the recording of information in the scorebook resulting from the new Laws.  SACO thought it advisable to, additionally, run a course specifically for scorers to discuss affect the changes from the new Laws has on scoring.  The course will be held at the County Ground, Hove on Sunday 28th January 2018.  Please inform Nigel Smith on 01273 594130 or npr.smith@virgin.net if you would like to attend.

ECB ACO has released an online resource OCCASIONAL UMPIRE RESOURCE aimed at cricketers who might umpire 10 overs on a weekend to increase their confidence and competence.

SCORING COURSES

The Club Scorer course is for anyone wanting scoring on a regular basis and is the only course to comprehensively teach you how to score.  This course is suitable for complete beginners and existing scorers who want to improve their skills.
