The Junior Cricket Council is nearly here

The youth of today

OneClub is about promoting the whole club and ensuring that every member has a voice.  The youth are the future of this Club and it's vital that they have a voice in the running of it.  To that end, the Chairman [Neil Miller] and the Junior Chairman [Peter Jones] have decided to set up a Junior Council which will be managed and run by the yoof. 

1. The Council will meet quarterly
2. Each member will sit on the Council for a period of 12 months
3. There will be representation from each colts' team and they will be involved in matters that affect all members such as the Junior Dinner. 
4. The Junior Council will also be able to bring cricketing matters to the main committee as well as identifying bright young talent and perhaps give them opportunities at older age groups.
5. The Council will be chaired by a former junior player.
6. Some age groups coaches have nominated their representatives and in other age groups, the colts themselves have voted for their representative
7. Team captains are excluded.

It is important for this process to work that parents support their children.  Your child will learn from the experience if they can get involved with their own thoughts!  The Junior Chairman will ensure that everyone has a voice and gets involved with perhaps older children mentoring the younger ones.
