Tom is a champion

Big news coming through from our groundsman and bar manager...

On the 18th July, former WC&TCC colt Tom Gee yesterday (18 July) became the new British Powerlifting Champion in the 100kg (bodyweight) class. He won the title at the British Powerlifting Federation Senior Championships in Birmingham, totalling 792.5kg (300kg squat, 212.5kg bench press & 280kg deadlift). Tom has also been selected for the GB squad for the 2010 World Championships which take place in Johannesburg in November.

Both mother and father are said to be doing well.

Tom last played for us in August 2003 for the 1st XI at Three Bridges.
