OneClub News
Week 9 was quiet, Week 10 very definitely was not! It started well but ended with a blank Sunday. However the 1st XI got a vital win in their quest to catch the front two in West Sussex Division 3.

In complete contrast, some excellent swing bowling by the visitors did for us at the Rec as the 2nds LOST badly by 6 wickets to Belgrave Adelaide. WC&T 93 a/o, BA 97-4. 2nds Scorecard. We were bowled out for under 100 - our worst result for twelve months - thanks in no small part to visiting bowler, Sadler, who took 5-22. A year ago - almost to the day - the same team came to the Rec. and bowled us out for 88. At least we got into the nineties this year and took two more wickets! Sadler was ably supported by Potter who took 3-43. We've now slipped a place to second bottom.

COLTS
Crispin's Under 10s WON at Wisborough Green in their hard ball Under 10s IDL pairs cricket game. WC&T 261-7, WG 237-10. We are now 4th our of 9. Table
"We are top of the league!"
Matt's U14s WON comfortably at Slinfold and hit the top of the IDL 14s North Division table! WC&T 152-5 (Glover 28*, Curtis 25*, Hasler 25*), SLIN 104-7 (Smith 2-7). Scorecard & report here. We're ahead of old rivals Horsham Trinity by two points and Crawley by six points although they have a game in hand. We play Trinity and Crawley in our last two games. Table
The Jefferies' U13s LOST at home to Southwater in a tight affair in their IDL 14s South Division game. WC&T 99-4 (RCP 26* Jeffries 24), SOU 100-5 (19.3 overs; RCP 2-17, Richardson 2-12). Coach Iain's frank assessment plus the scorecard here. IDL South Division Table here
A bleak Sunday 20th June
Neil's U12s LOST at Wisborough Green. WG 115-6 (Crouch 2-4, Miller 2-17), WC&T 89-8 (Miller 28*, Jones 19*). Despite the usual valiant effort from Eddie Miller, the 12s were sunk by a strong performance from the home side. Scoreboard & Wis. Green Report here. The 12s table is here - we're 5th out of 12.
Martin's U16s LOST at home to Southwater. WC&T 152-5 (25 overs; Wyatt 33*, Bowen Davies 31*, Harvey-Jones 21*), SOU 155-3 (22 overs; Bowen-Davies 2-1). Scorecard. Southwater's second win at our place this weekend. We were missing both Millers, Toby Glover and Dougie Glynne-Jones - called up at the last minute by Sussex - and it showed when we bowled. We tried our best but Harvey-Jones and Aviss don't normally bowl so well done for giving it a try! Too many wides & "four balls" from all except David Bowen-Davies who was our man of the match. Table. We're now seventh out of ten.
The Sunday side LOST convincingly to our nemesis Wis. Green at home. WG 210-7 (Tolson 3-32, Vanstone 2-57), WC&T 148 a/o (Armstrong 45, Budgen 36). Scorecard. The curse on us by Wisborough Green continues. Tolson bowled well, Vanstone bagged a brace but took some stick and we never got close once Budgen and Armstrong were separated. Minus Bob, we batted as we used to on Sunday - only four batsmen made double figures. Our second defeat in a row. Next up: Fittleworth which has been switched to their's but will depend on whether England are playing next Sunday
