NewsMidweek Side 2009 Review(November 11, 2009)W3 D1 L0 (2008: W0 D0 L2). Essentially the side that plays the cricket week and this year of course, we actually had four games and were unbeaten! Three wins and a draw to show for our efforts which is easily the best year we’ve ever had. We avoided a dreaded hat trick of defeats against Nazeing Common before overcoming “our friends in the east” – Uckfield and Lindfield. The former apparently being the more competitive game. At least one team got the better of Lindfield this season then because the colts never did!
In 2010 as well as anticipating a full cricket week, we already have at least one other midweek game against the Sussex Martlets lined up in mid-July. This will be a proper cricket match with a lunch and tea interval!
